depth finder install

So my Lowrance 3500 depth finder bit the dust - replacing with a Faria.

I've read in some forum posts that there is a bilge liner on the boats.  With my '98 Sunsetter, is the liner only the one in the ski locker - or is what I'm looking at underneath the engine also a liner I need to deal with?

If it is, I'm really tempted to go with a transom mount transducer vs. shoot thru hull transducer.

Thanks!

After further investigation inside the boat, it appears that, after removing the panel between the engine area and the pylon/bilge pump area, it goes to a single hull area of no liner.  The liner exists under the engine and back - while forward of that panel there is no liner.  So that's where I'll have to install the transducer.
