Rookie stereo questions

Playing around with the hesdunit that came with sp2 sound in the new boat.  In the settings I see: loud, eq select, subwoofer gain, TA volume, & I-volume but I'm not familiar with what any of these actually do.  Can you fill me in.

I'm familiar with an equalizer but this just has a call music type presets...

My response is based on my limited knowledge.  Would need to know brand/model the deck is. 

 

• Loud
  • increases volume but at a cost.  The signal takes a huge quality hit and distorts.  If you have an amp, definitely don't use it.
• Subwoofer gain
  • The more gain the more power to subwoofer and the harder/louder it hits.  If using an amp, it would take care of most of the adjustments.   You could do minimal gain adjustments on the deck.  
• TA Volume
  • No Clue
• I-volume
  • No Clue

"loud" sounds like crap when you turn it up loud

Woofer gain is one you need to understand exactly what and how the head is attenuating the signal.

Thanks... I think TA is related to traffic audio,still no clue on  iVolume
