Vinyl Paint... Who has used it?

Recommended Posts

The white vinyl on my 01 Wakesetter is starting to yellow and I have not found a product to bring the white back. Has anyone used vinyl paint? How has it lasted? Would you recommend?

I have used it for automotive applications with good results.   Not sure how it would hold up for marine use because of the high exposure to UV rays.

What have you tried to clean your vinyl with?

I would not use it on a boat, mostly because I think sunscreen would start to rub it off.  I've used it a lot on interior body panels, headliners and seats in cars.

I have tried Vinyl Sauce, totally awesome, magic eraser (which I don’t recommend to anyone) and  starbrite vinyl cleaner

Are you using a bristle brush?  That really helps dig into vinyl and deep clean.

Personally I think the vinyl paint would probably work.  Not sure how long it would last but could be worth a try.  If it failed next step is to just re-skin your cushions.

I had no choice and used the marine vinyl paint. Looks great but expect to touch up high wear areas at the end of each season.

I had mold stains that wouldn’t come out.
