Ignition computer fuse

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone.  New to the forum.  I picked up a 1997 Malibu Response with the Monsoon 320 EFI last week and I am already having problems.  I bought it to use as a barefoot boat, and it ran great all 3 days this past weekend.  At the end of the last day, the boat just died.  I saw that the ignition computer fuse popped.  I reset it and it popped again, almost immediately.  I took the cover off the computer on the back of the motor, and didn’t notice any loose cables that could be shorting and tripping the fuse.  After a few hours, I did get it to restart, but it tripped again only a few minutes later.  Has anyone else had this problem?  If so, what may be causing it to short?  Thank you for your help!

There are two circuit breakers you reset, and three fuses you must replace in your boat.  I don't follow what you mean by reset it and it popped again.
