Pylon Swivel head cap removal and tightening

Recommended Posts

I have a 2014 Response TXI and I need to know how to remove the cap on the tow pylon to lubricate the bearing and tighten the swivel head on it. Any help with how to do this?

i use a couple safety razor blades

slide one under cap being careful not to nick the chrome plate

the second gets inserted under the first

then insert a thin screwdriver between them

Does the cap pry off? I had two screw drivers under the cap, one on each side, and had them bending without popping the cap off. I was afraid of breaking it.
