Adding amps

Recommended Posts

HGrace

So I ordered speakers and amps and I’m wondering where are thr pre-outs to hook the new amps up so it all works correctly with the multiple zone volume interface. I’ll have an amp for interior. One for the sub and one for the tower.  So basically what is already installed is the factory stereo, interior speakers and the amp with the Malibu logo that drives them. This is on a 2018 25 LSV

If this is a new Malibu the preouts are proprietary plugs on the black box/brain.

It is new. So does that mean I can’t hook up to them or what do I have to do ?

It will just take a bit more work. You can cut off the plugs and solder on RCAs.

You could also check in with Exile since they have a wiring harness all set up to plug in to the factory black box and it works well for me.

I don't think it's on their site yet so give Brian or Donovan a call at 888-249-0970.

That's great to know.  I bought a javelin a long time ago that I never used and it would be nice to use it on the new boat.
