I would take the new engine no-brainer plus you know they're going to do everything to make it right...

It’s one stop shopping and warranty now for all 3 parts of a rig, that’s a very good thing for consumer especially if the dealer relationship to customer is not strong , your only appealing to one company (though I really love boatmate) to solve all of your issues if any

Anyone get confirmation on the increase in height of top deck? 2"??? Seems to be the normal incremental changes in past.. very currious on g10 Tower height? Same as great or shorter and top deck increase compensates or taller overall etc.. ??

Apologies if this was posted earlier.  The accessory box concept is interesting, same as on some aircraft engines.  Certainly sounds like they had ease of maintenance in mind with the design.

Active got their first ‘19 25 LSV yesterday and I’m obviously in love with these colors.

The 2019 vinyl in all the Malibus is a big improvement over the last couple years. The seat cushions are shaped to round out the corners, which a couple other models are using too.

The flip over rear bench slider is slick and the cup holders will get mom approval. The new sliding design also eliminates the ankle knockers on the old design.

The boat was just being prepped so ignore the wet seats in the pics.

Your boat is ready Lord Vader!

Looks slick!  Any bigger though and you're gonna need a bigger garage!  :)

Wait a second... fully loaded boat except for soft grip flooring? I’m guessing a gator step kit is to be installed soon? Lol

Yep, full GatorStep going in very soon, which will really dial it up. Black over sharkfin looks great with these colors.

I almost wish length was an issue so I wouldn’t be so tempted.

And the colors - I love black and gunmetal metallic in the sun.7B32977D-DC27-45B0-89C9-071B0FC3DC28.thumb.jpeg.4b7bce46dce4509033a2eb45a61808ce.jpeg

My first thought after seeing pics is "I can't believe that carpet is still even an option in a boat that nice"

I always chuckle how trends change.  Not too long ago, carpet was seen as part of defining luxury in these.  Now it seems despised.  I also prefer not to have it, but certainly these modern cabins have lost some of their plush feel of prior years.

I personally love the look of carpet. The gatorstep everywhere makes me cringe just the same as when I see tribal tattoos or tramp stamps. It’s an operations decision on design and assembly that they’re selling as a luxury upgrade. Happily most folks agree I guess so we can sit back and just chuckle at the world as it changes. :)

Can you order a 2019 with deckadence mat? Such a better option than carpet, wears like iron and a nice feel on the feet.  The OEM carpet is garbage - you will be lucky to get one season out of it before it smells like mold and mildew.

FWIW for about $350 you can order a piece of american floor mat (aka deckadence) and cut it yourself.

My buddy's '17 Prostar is a sweet boat, but it came with textured fiberglass only.  Very utilitarian......and louder in the boat than behind it.  Also not as easy to keep clean as we were thinking when he got it.

And he doesn’t want to use the carpet that came with it?

edit- nevermind, I didn’t know that carpet wasn’t standard in the PS. All their other models come with carpet standard, and Deckadance or SeaDek is optional.

I ordered my boat with carpet, picked up a gatorstep kit with a group buy here. Since I figured I wouldn’t get much ($$$) for the carpet, I decided to use it for a year. Plan to install gatorstep this winter. Will throw the carpet for sale in the spring for cheap. FWIW, my carpet never got mildew or moldy. I’d be tempted to go for another year if I didn’t already have the gatorstep kit.

And yet my brother's FG floor in his 22' Whaler is a POC to keep clean - fish guts and all.  Go figure.  I think snap-in carpet is the way to go if you want carpet, or  Seadek etc. if you do not.

I still really like carpet too. If I could have it shampooed and or replaced every season I’d still like it. It just wears out too quick.

About once a year we get our rugs and carpets cleaned. I just snap out our carpet and lay it out with the rest. Otherwise I just give it a good vacuum a few times a year. 3 seasons in and it looks as good and fluffy as when it came off the truck. No wear or tear or mold.

I guess with snap out it would be way easier. My only experience was in our response and that was glued in.

Anyone have any information on the number of ballast pumps for the rear tanks and bags on the 2019 models?  Did we finally get 2 pumps on each side for the rears to reduce those fill times?  Happy Monday.
