Water in the front floor storage locker- Need Help!!

Recommended Posts

Hey Crew,

I have water that continues to stay the front storage locker and not drain out.  Where should this water drain?  Why would it not be draining out?

Are the plugs that prevent it from draining to the bilge out?  Sitting on lift or trailer? You have to tip an lxi pretty far back to get the  locker in front of engine to drain.

Yes, all plugs are our, its almost like something is blocking the flow of water down into the bilge.  I have tried to snake it, but still no movement.

Find the same with my LXI.

Just have to get enough tilt but too much sends the water past the central drain hole.

I leave the floor hatch open to help ventilate & eventually dry this area if the boat is not being used for a few weeks.

Over winter, I sponge out the excess if the bioat is not being used for a few months

Had the same issue,  water will flow from bilge to he front locker before the pump kick on.  Rrmove the plug assembly and reseal, (normally it's not sealed at the factory), and keep the plug.  Only water now is from wet gear going in.dg2z6h.jpg.5f44b488490ae8fc2a1e01946f73ad66.jpg

Common to the Response.  I keep the plug in all the time to prevent flow from bilge getting in there.
