I am hoping to get a new Malibu VTX and I was wondering how people are weighting their for surfing. I’m coming from a Nautique G23 then to a Reaponse and hopefully to a new VTX. The G was easy I didn’t need to do anything to it. The response I had bags everywhere. How do you weight your VTX?

We got our 2018 VTX this spring and have been getting the surfing dialed in. Full factory hard tank ballast including bow tank to 100%. Have the plug-n-play bags in the rear lockers. Fill those about 1/2 full. I surf at 10.2 mph with the wedge 4 clicks up. Really good surf wave that I can get surprisingly far back on.

Had started off trying to surf at 10.8 with plug-n-play bags all the way full. It worked but boat felt labored. Nick at AWS suggested slowing down and less ballast in the plug-n-play and that did the trick. Wife surfs the same setup but with 2 clicks less on the wedge.
