Budget Beginner Surf Board

Coming back now - I ended up with a Broadcast based on some searches and a KILLER deal I found.

In case someone comes across this thread in the future here's my summary.

It's a fantastic beginner board, I've taught myself the basics, my wife, and some friends to all surf on it.  I quickly progressed to limited rope-less, to crossing the lake rope-less to moving up and back around on the wave with a couple of connected turns.  I'm not yet sure what it's limits are as I'm just starting to think about more than just riding rope-less and cutting turns.  I will say it's a bit "slow" relative to a few others I've ridden now, but I've also not played with it in anything other than the original 3 fin configuration.  I mostly notice this in how far back I'm able to surf and recover (the first rope-less stay was about 2' off the swim deck).  I can now get back a fair amount, but not as far as with other boards.  Conclusion:  It was more than enough to get me hooked on surfing, and I will end up with another board next season but this will be kept around for it's simplicity to teach others on and easy riding feel.  If I had it all to do over again I would have bought this and one of the clearance victoria's that I missed out on !
