2011 VRide front hard tank leaking

Howdy,  I'm a new Malibu owner and needing some help.  My front hard tank is leaking around the plastic elbow fitting.  the water appears to be leaking through the plastic threads.  It only leaks when the tank is filled to the top.  Is there a recommend way to remove this fitting, reseal it, and put it back in?  What type of sealer should I use?

I've got some pictures but it's not clear how to upload them.

Thanks!

John

When you get the center divider in the walk through to the bow removed you will be able to access the elbow and pump. I am betting that you are going to have to replace the elbow, but it may just need some Teflon tape/sealant or silicone to cure the problem. IME with this elbow, if you go to remove the elbow be prepared for it to get trashed. Malibu used some lame fittings on the ballast tanks. As far as direct replacements go if you have to go that route, I would shop the local Lowe’s, HD or lawn sprinkler stores. Your local dealer may have them in bulk! Good luck. Bill
