Change the serpentine belt 340 Monsoon

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've got a 2010 VLX 340 Monsoon and need to change the serpentine belt. Looks like remove a hose, the impeller housing and loosen the alternator with an allen wrench and wrench.

Anybody know the size of the allen wrench needed?

Also what's the best way to pull or push the alternator out to give the belt tension? Not much room in there.

Any help would be appreciated, even to point me to another thread; I did look but didn't find one.

Thanks

Don't remember the sizes... but once you loosen the bolts on the alternator, it's easy to shift it.
A belt change is relatively straight forward. It is, exactly what it looks like it is.
