Lift help - true weight of a 22VLX

Recommended Posts

The dry weight is listed at 4300 lbs but I hear that is sans tower, batteries and obviously fluids.  I have one pair of rev 8’s, 250lbs lead, 2 northstar 31 series batteries and your average gear.  Is a 6000# lift good enough or should I jump to an 8800# lift?

gas: 303#

batteries: 150#

lead: 250#

gear/anchor: 150#

tower/speakers: ??? 300#?

Thanks,

Steve

What is the difference between a 6000# and the 800#? If it's not much, do what hethj7 said. It's well worth it to go big now. If you upgrade to a 23LSV, those are 5000# dry. I'd think you'd more than likely be safe with a 6000# even down the road, but would not hurt to go with the 8000#. But for your 22VLX, the 6000# will be more than fine, especially if you're looking at hyrdaulic. I believe we only have a 5000# lift and it handles our 22VLX just fine.

Just get the bigger lift now.  Who knows what your next boat may be and they aren’t getting any lighter.  Where are you going to keep it?

Deep in Honey Creek on Grand lake.  Under the 59Hwy bridge.

Doing a guys weekend there June 3.  Let me know if you are down that weekend.  Got a VRBO somewhere on the south end of the lake.  Never been there before so trying it out.

Down by duck creek?  South side of the lake is busier.  Honey creek is the best water on the lake.  Unfortunately I think I will be out of town for work that weekend.
