transmission cooler question

Recommended Posts

I brought home the hose clamp that secures the raw water hose from the impeller housing to the intake side of the tranny cooler, thinking I'd replace it with a t-bolt clamp or tensioning clamp (something maybe less likely to deform the mouth of the tranny cooler if slightly over-tightened).  Should have actually measured the O.D. on the tranny cooler.  My clamp is at 1 3/4 in. in diameter when initially engaged, probably 1 1/2 in. in diameter when snugged down, but I guess I need to be more precise.

My boat is a two hour round trip drive away.  So . . . anybody either know off hand the I.D. of that hose or the O.D. of the mouth of the tranny cooler, or have ready access to their Indmar engine to take a measurement?

Thanks.
