That looks wonderful,  nice and clean finish.... Grest work. .. Makes me think that down the road when my carpet

gets more abused, not meaning I abuse my toys... just alot of wear especially the port side. This is something I

may need to look into doing to.

Thanks for posting this project. It looks great! I'm planning to tackle this same thing on my 99 response. I had a couple of questions. First, did you leave carpet on the gunwales? How did you deal with that transition? Second, does your motor cover sit right on top of the faux teak? How has it held up for you?
