Axis A20 Value??

Wanted to see what you guys think this boat may be worth private sale (or trade in). If you've sold/bought something similar recently, please say so in your response.

BoatTrader shows an avg sell price of about 45k assume people negotiate a discount from there and that should give you an idea.

I'd list it at 51, but be prepared to sell for less. Might as well try.

I'd start at 48k but it really depends on your market.

It depends on your need for the money. If you can wait closer to the summer season you should be able to get in the low 50K range. Right now is not the best time to sell unless you need the money. I.E. people trading up and a lot of boats coming on the market. That is what I have noticed over the years.

Other than leftover boats from previous year model, do discounts change a lot whether you buy/order new in summer vs winter? I'm thinking 2% or less would be the difference?

Just trying to plan an upgrade. Sell in mid-summer? Order or buy used in fall?

So a good strategy is to order in the fall/winter, let the two boats overlap, and sell in the summer.

I've had the best luck selling right after the boat show. Folks really get excited about the summer coming up, and with the sticker shock of the new boat prices, used boats can sell really well.

If you order a boat late in the Fall, you can usually get a spray date that puts your boat at the dealership in mid-February, so you only end up having a month or two of overlap.
