Good Lord, what does it actually cost to ship a board????

I am looking for used equipment to keep start up cost down, I found something I am interested on eBay and the guy wants $120 to ship it?

Depends on size and region or separation of start and end region, but most boards under 6 feet long will ship for under $60 if you have an account. Small skim boards use to ship as little as $15, but a couple years ago Fedex and UPS reduced the oversized upcharge from 60" and under to 48" and under.

Not too many board under 4 feet long, and well a properly packed board in a box is going to be 2-4" longer than the actual board length. Once a package gets over 76" long the rate typically jumps up to over $100. Shipping from the US to Canada is pretty much always $90 to $120, more on boards over 6'.
