Forgot to mention my engine is the PCM 409 6.0.

It will work at 2500’ but RPMs will be higher than needed. I would think the 2249 would be a great fit at that elevation if you have the PCM 409. Then the 2773 can be your backup and high elevation prop.

Was that a very late build 2018, to have the PCM? The rest of the 2018s were the Raptor 410s and they didn’t cut over to the PCM until the 2019s.

That is an interesting combination in a 2018 (pcm and 2773). Can you verify it is really a pcm? I had my 2018 23 lsv (raptor 410) on lake pend Oreille which is right around 2500’ and with full ballast and plug n play it would plane out no problems with the 2249. Might be able to get away with a 2277 if you’re only worried about surfing and you can get a few people or some lead in the bow.

It was a Malibu demo boat. Head engineer had it for 2019 development. It has PWIII and a few other 19 options.

Wakemakers is suggesting 2247 which looks to have slightly more cup than 2249. Any reason to try it over the 2249?

I’ve used the 2277 around 2,000’ and found myself wanting a little more prop at that elevation.

More cup is always better when on the water...

Thats a great find on that boat. Does it have the stomp pads on the rear transom pads?

Just an update on the prop situation.  I now have time on both the 2249 and recently picked up a 2277 for comparison.  Like the 2277 much better.  300/400 lower surf rpms and boat has no trouble pulling out with a crew of 5 and full ballast.
