Yes, it can be installed. I’d guess it would cost around 2k.

ive had it on a few boats..... wish I could have on all of them. You don’t get any feedback from the rudder, there is no pull, and you can let go of the wheel any time you want. 

Madman- The steering end of the system is a rotary pump. That is why rudder torque can’t be fed back to the wheel. Pressure would change in the line, from the pressure of the rudder on the hydraulic cylinder at the other end, but it is unable to feed back through the pump into the wheel. Also, hydraulic steering typically has less “lock to lock” rotation compared to a cable system, not more.

I have this option my 2022 m240 and IMO it makes a world of difference compared to last Malibu (m235). That didn’t have it.  It’s small cost on the overall price
