Barefooting behind 22 VLX or 22MXZ

does anybody out there do this?  I know the future holds much more wakeboarding and surfing than it does recreational slalom and barefooting, but I want to make sure I have the option.  I was curious if anyone barefoots regularly behind these boats.

Unless your wake crossing , what difference would it make, most recreational footers aren't doing crosses

I don't see it happening but maybe...  top speed will be your biggest issue and chances are your barefoot prop isn't going to like surfing.

The vtx and sport nautique can foot and surf if they have enough power bit they're way smaller boats that don't need that much weight to make a surf wave.

I realize the op didn't even mention surfing but both hulls in question were designed with surfing in mind so taking away the surfability seems noteworthy.

That being said please try, then post photos and test results along with engine and prop specs.

Speed is your issue, depending on your weight.  Take your weight devide by 10 then add 20.

Me. 220 lbs, ÷ 10 = 22, + 20 = 42.  I foot at 42 Mph. Then take your foot size in account , +/- 1Mph or so, bigger feet, a little slower, etc.

have fun and post pics / vids....

With a 2277 prop the 2016 VLX would do 42MPH with a 450 engine. With a 2401 it should be around 44MPH at 5500. With the base motor probably 42MPH. A 2017 LSV ran 43.5 with the 450 motor and a surfpipe again on the limiter at 5500 with the 2401.
