Sporty LX Mods

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 Sporty LX and I'd like to install an Air/Fuel Seperator and replace the fuel sender. I read the DIY forum and it's very helpful but specially for a Sporty how do I get at them? Do I need to remove the rear seat back/floor boards? And if so how? I don't want to damage anything when I take it apart.

You need to remove the rear seat to do anything to the fuel tank. The seat back is held in by 1/4 studs around the top of the seat back. Remove the blower cover from the back deck then remove the screws from the blower housing & push the blower off to the side to access the rear studs. You can get the side studs by laying on the floor & reaching in. You really got to stretch to get the ones on the corner.
