How to clean my G3.5 Tower?

The tower hoop on my G3.5 got bugs on it after towing.  The bugs came off with some scrubbing and Hot Sauce, but they left a stain behind. I've tried scrubbing them, but the bugs left behind spots all over the tower hoop.  Anyone know how to clean off the stains on the brushed grey aluminum and get the tower looking new again?

Mike I use this product for entire boat (vinyl, tower, carpet).  It's non toxic and works great.

If you need to freshen up your tower after cleaning look into Mothers metal polish

Thanks @Fman!  I didn't think of using metal polish for the tower.  I'll give these a shot.

@SCMike was the metal polish good to take get the bug stains out. Or did you find another solution.

I just ended up using hot sauce and some elbow grease.  90% of the stains eventually came out.  It took a few passes. 

I was a little worried to try metal polish since the tower seems to be anodized.  I thought it might take the color off.

@SCMike thank you. It’s time to detail our boat before storage and I know the tower is going to be a pain.

Right on!  Mine is going to the detailer next weekend.  I might get a few more days out this year, but it it’s starting to cool down.  May be hard to convince the kids and wife
