Malibu Neutrail Vinyl Replacement

Recommended Posts

MalibuMikeVLX

Hi,

I have a new to me 1999 Wakesetter VLX that needs a few torn cushions fixed (it will be DIY as I have an industrial sewing machine and it is not overly complicated on the pieces that I am repairing)  I phoned Malibu and was told the main color is "Neutrail" (not a typo).  No upholstery shops that I have called have ever heard of it.  I ended up ordering a sample of Malibu Neutral from GreatLakesSkipper but it is no where close to the correct color.  We do not have any local shops that I can walk into with a sample to try and match it.  Anyone successfully find a replacement for Neutrail and happen to know what the color is called in the material that they purchased?

Thanks for any input.

I think the person at Malibu just simply made a mistake. That sounds weird.

Neutrail and Neutral are definitely different colors.  Neutrail is like a cream / ivory.  Neutral is a much darker tan color.

Anyone ever figure this out? I'm doing the same thing. I have a decent amount already that the previous owner gave me, but looking for more just in case I need it.

He did some skins for me with neutrail in them, and it's a factory match.  He might be able to get you the material if that's your goal.
