Fault code help engine

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help me on this code coming up on our 2008 vlx. We just put the boat in the water from being in storage all winter. Did not have any fault codes at the end of summer

that is a throttle position sensor error.

Meaning I not have throttle in middle before reading codes?

It do go away at the end of the day...

No, meaning that there is 1 or 2 TPS sensors on your boat that detect the position of the throttle at the throttle lever and maybe the throttle body and the ECM didn't like the signal it saw.

Went out for the second time last night and there were no service notifications. Is this something I should look into more?

Likely not... Could have been a gremlin. If it goes completely you would be potentially stuck on the water. However I wouldnt personally go spending 400 bucks on replacement sensors until that happens.
