How To Post A Picture/Image

Is it possible to modify the "Insert Image from URL" script to recognize an Imgur address and automatically add ".jpg" to the end of the URL (or just have the script try to read the URL as a JPG image)?

Imgur works great here, but the image only shows up inline if you add ".jpg" to the URL.  Having this automatically happen would be great so that the unwashed masses can easily see their images also without me having to explain how to do it every time.

Example:  I'll add my image link directly from Imgur (https://imgur.com/9tgBQ2Q).  I get this no joy result:

Now I'll add ".jpg" to the end of the URL and try again (https://imgur.com/9tgBQ2Q.jpg).  It works, presumably because I hinted to the script to try to open it as a JPG image.  Any chance of making this automagic?

For the flipped images. After some experimentation, we found some images that are uploaded over the 800x600 pixel size limit get flipped in the post. That’s a limitation from the site software to not have large images to burn storage.

That would be a suggestion for a software change that would be made by the SW supplier.
The easiest way to post images is to be a site supporter and help us pay for Software updates and site storage. You’re able to insert images right from your device into the post.

Why do my jpeg pictures taken on my iPhone 15 Pro show up black when I upload them?  I have the camera setting changed to most compatible and live image is turned off.   I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.

What size are you uploading? The site likes 600x800.

That’s too big. I’ve seen several different results from trying with large photos. For some reason the site has always liked the 800x600 size.
