Exhaust manifold leaking

Recommended Posts

Deephaven

Just went to start my boat and not like others on here the plug has failed and is spouting water into my boat.  I see Indmar exhaust manifolds at Marine Exhaust Manifolds for $269 each.   I would rather buy from a board sponsor or any place that is logical.  I realize others have welded these, but I don't know a welder and by the time I go that route I'll have nearly that into it anyways so I figure used is okay.

Boat is a 2004 LSV with the 350.

Do you have the aluminum Indmar ETX manifolds?  Those are more like $800 each.  The cast iron $269 manifolds can be used as a replacement, but they are less free flowing.

Not that its the best way to do it, but we needed to fix my dad's in a pinch--> we cleaned up the hole and used some JB weld with a patch.  It works, but probably isn't the best solution.

You should be able to get them welded for under $150 for both.  Have all the casting port welded, 9 on each manifold.
