MaliView blue screen issues

Recommended Posts

I have a 2010 Wakesetter LSV. Just received a call from the shop that everything is working well with the boat, except for the MaliView screen. The screen starts at the radio screen and then when you go to hit the gauges tab, the screen has a bunch of vertical colored lines, or the screen goes blue. The shop is looking into what the issue is and calling Malibu to see what my options are. Any ideas for what I can do, so my bill doesn't turn into $5000? Thank you for the help in advance.

Thank you very much. I will tell them to try that!

From my understanding, they were just doing a systems check to make sure all is well and some how from last fall, to this spring, the screen is not working. Which leads me to believe it is wiring or that cord. I live in Michigan and store the boat in a garage all winter, so I'm not sure how that would occur.

A low voltage issue gave me a lined MUX screen or a blank MUX screen issue, partial stereo function through the Malivue and a no start condition. Once I fixed the terminal issue I had on the battery I got a solid 12V to the dash/screen and all of those issues cleared up. Messing with the blue cable created the condition you speak of. The blue cable is actually screwed into the back side of the MV so it is unlikely the issue is in that area unless someone monkey gripped the cable and snatched out of the back of the MV. It is just pushed into the RFX-3000 on the back side of the amp board and as lame as that thing is put together I would bet money that is where the problem is and was for me!
