Power Wedge 2 won't stow

Recommended Posts

I'm in the water and cruising down the lake at 8mph, and can manipulate the wedge in each of its full  range except Stow.  There's a little tab below the "Stow" indicator that says locked.  I've reset the boat,  turned power off/on at the batteries, etc....  Cannot get the wedge in Stow position. Any thoughts?

Try to just idle forward and hold stow.  If that doesn't work, you should be able to go to settings and manually raise the wedge, although I forget exactly how.

I tried each of the above, and to no avail.  Then, it just worked.   We pushed the Go Home butt toggle on the dash about 20 times and it finally just took.

Whatever....

How fast were you going?  You only need to be going 1.5mph + to stow it.  I think there is also a max speed you can go and if exceeded it won't stow.  I cant recall what the max speed is.

Max speed is 26 per the manual.

We were going anywhere from 0-8mph, trying throughout that range.

You can stow it up to 26mph?  Wow, that seems like it would cause problems at high speeds pulling that foil up to stow.  I thought the 26mph was max speed you could actually use the wedge?

Regardless glad you got it stowed.  Hopefully was a fluke and it won't be a problem for you in the future.

Fman, you are correct.

It stays locked unless you are like between maybe 2 and 7 MPH.  Do not quote me on exact speeds but you must essentially be at idle for it to stow (so it can't stow and crush someone at the ladder if you are just in a cove).
