New trailer/older boat...

I have a 2002 Sunsetter LXI. I have the opportunity to buy a 2016 Malibu trailer that was with an MXZ 22. I'd like to upgrade beacause it has a swing away tongue and is dual axles. My boat is a diamond hull and the MXZ is a wake hull. Anyone know how exact the bunks are set up? Would it work? Or is the only way to know to actually get my boat onto the trailer? Thanks for thoughts.

As @Cole2001 said the mxz has a completely different hull shape then your boat. Mxz is 102" beam and your SS lxi is probably 90-93". The SS lxi also has a fairly flat bottom compared to the mxz. You would be in for a TON of modifications to the bunk positions if you were to go that route. And to be honest I'm not sure it would be feasible. Also, the mxz trailer is going to be a foot or so longer then you need it to be. So you aren't saving as much space as you may think with the swing away tounge.

I would too suggest calling boatmate to see what their price would be. My guess is you could keep it around 3-3500.

Thanks guys. I contactact Malibu and the guy told me pretty much all the same things. I don't need a new trailer. I just thought maybe it'd be an easy way to upgrade to newer. No big deal.
