Rockford Fosgate amp wiring

Hi everyone. I have a 2015 VLX with the stock Fosgate stereo. I don't have the money to change the stereo like some of you lucky ones on this forum.  With that being said, the wife bought me a Fosgate P600x4 amplifier.  My plan was to wire that amp to the 8" speakers and wire the 6 1/2's to the existing P400x4.  When I removed the panel I was surprised to find that all 8 speakers are wired to the P400X4.  I assume this creates a 2ohm load and thus produces more power.  Does anyone have idea what wattage each speaker is getting with this setup?  And do you believe that what I intended to do with the 2 amps actually sound better and or sound better?  This stereo has left me less than impressed from day one. My 2005 VLX with Sony speakers has more volume and better sound with 2 fewer speakers.  Thank you in advance for any knowledge and advice you may share.

I am just putting in a proper sub box, Wetsounds 420, and then tuning the amps.  I expect a lot of improvement just doing that.   Sorry, I can't help on your specific amp wiring question.

50W rms to each speaker. The 600.4 is going to deliver 75W rms. Although this difference in wattage will not equate a difference in volume, there are some advantages to reducing the load on the 400.4 by half, and putting the 2 pair o fmain cabin 8" on their own amp, also at 4 ohm x 4.

Once you make the reconfiguration, re-tune the two amps and address the factory woofer enclosure and re-tune that amp, you should see an improvement. the rockford marine in-boats are actually a decent speaker.

Whats the rest of the system? P500.2, P400.2 or P300.2 for the woofer? They seemed to change with the year models. Tower speakers and what amp?

Unfortunately I don't have tower speakers.  Opted for the 6.0L instead.  We have the 12" sub with a P300.2 amp.  My plan is to build a proper box for the sub this spring.  But ill be keeping the amp that came with the boat.
