Battery Switch Failure

Recommended Posts

Well...if it worked fine before, and now does not, it would seem the switch has failed mechanically.  Take a look behind it.  Might be as simple as a bolt/nut coming loose and can be repaired.  Or might need to be replaced.  Same effort required to tun the knob as when it was working?

There should be a distinct detent at all thre positions. Does it feel like the switch is mechanically clicking into those detents? Could be a lose, stripped or broken knob.

The number of batteries only dictates the number of Ah in reserve. The actual electrical loads are what matters. Blue see typically gives a peak and continuous A draw. Battery switch failures are rare, especially for a blue sea. They are well built and solid. So not impossible but rare.
