rub rail for 99 sunsetter vlx

Hey guys 

I need to replace the rub rail on my malibu. Ive read on here that everyone gets it from taco marine but i have no dealer any where close to me. Is there any online source that people are getting this from?  I need the chrome insert and also the base that rivets to the boat.]

Any help would be appreciated

Here are a few on Ebay I found, I too have been looking to replace mine but am fearful of how easy taking the old one off will be.

Thanks for the heads up. I have pulled the insert out of mine already and it just has a ton of aluminum rivets securing the base. I believe the hardest part of the project is to bend the new rub rail around the rear corners and the bow

I bet if you have a heat gun and warm it  up a bit it will fit no problem. I'm sure someone who has done it though may have a tip or two as well.

Absolutely need a GOOD heat gun. I would also let it sit out of the box stretched out for a few days. It takes a lot of patience and a few beers to do. Of course you start at the bow (hardest area for me)  in the middle. make sure you have enough length before you start!
