Misfire under load 07 vlx

Ok guys I just got the distributor back in and I'm glad to report there's no side to side slop in the rotor button anymore now I started it up and tried to adjust the timing by sound and while under load driving on the river but I just can't get it to run decent at all it's still missing bad. Now I know they say u need to set the timing on these with the scan tool but I would have thought I would have been able to get I running half decent! When I'm advancing the timing just when it starts to sound like it's running good the motor shuts down and I get a fault code saying

Crank Signal SPN 636 CM 0 data erratic int or incorrect FBI 2 oc 127

can anyone shed some light before I send it to the dealer?

Hi guys I would just like to report that I have fixed the miss after replacing all the parts possible on the distributor and still no fix we ended up putting a brand new distributor in and bam all fixed.
