Wall Thickness under observation seat 97 Sunsetter

I am trying to add a second battery to my newly acquired 1997 Sunsetter.  I am trying to figure out if the inner wall under the observation seat is think enough to attach to.  It has an amp, but they mounted it to the floor (which I would also like to move).

Didn't know if it was better to try to build an inner wall (which seems like a lot of work) or if the current wall is thick enough.

It is thick enough to mount small items to it. What I did on my 95 was made a board that holds the Perko Switch and a small audio amp.

Then I drilled 4 holes near the corner of the board and thru bolted into that wall. On the walk thru side, I used very low profile round head type bolts so it wouldn't catch you as you walked by.

As far as the board, I carpeted it, drilled holes in it so cables could come up from behind. Regardless, that wall is pretty strong !
