Team, after some info on the new gen VTX, mainly how does it slalom? Not overly happy with 2016 hull compared to my 2015 hull so hoping they aren't swaying to far away from the multi sport hull to mainly surf/wake

There are no changes between 2016 and 17 that I know of for the VTX hull. I know there was quite a bit of discussion about trying different props on the new hull because they are coming from the factory with a prop more geared towards surfing. Not sure if @85 Barefoot has tested that theory out yet, but maybe he can chime in.

I ordered my vlx 21 diamond hull with the "speed" prop. I was able to get a demo boat up to 42 mph with no ballast and 3 adults in it. The first demo had torque/surf prop and I could not get over 34. There is another prop between these two also.

hop,  I never got to try the 14 x18 I had to try.  It is telling, however, that the new tranny (1.5:1) in the new VTX (used to be 1.76 (or close thereto)) should really help out the prop selections.

koeh, congrats on your new boat!  the vtx ski complaints were more such that the props used disturbed too much water due to their size and lean pitch.

So what's the best prop with the softest wash and rooster that won't interfere with 15 off

I can't speak in particulars but the smallest diameter with the steepest pitch will disturb the least water and therefore be softest.  Great move IMO that they backed off the 1.76 tranny this year.
