Lighted WetSounds Rings

Hi all. i apologize if this thread already exists. i bought a new 23 LSV last year with the G4 tower and the Rev 8 speakers. My dealer was going to install the lighted rings for me but when we ordered the lighting and took the tower apart, they discovered the rings are too big to install. By that i mean the diameter of the lighted ring was larger than the can diameter the speakers go into. They contacted WetSounds and was told that Malibu makes their own cans for the Rev 8 speakers. Any idea where we can get the correct rings? it looks like the MXZ comes with lighted WetSounds speakers but they are different according to Malibu. Anyone else went through this? Thanks!!!

Interesting.....I almost picked up a set of these for Christmas and would have never thought twice about ordering them from Wetsounds.   Sorry, I can't help with a solution, but am interested what others may know.

Yes, the pods are Malibu and are different just enough, from the Wet Sounds Rev-8 pod. If malibu does not offer a ring for their pod, then you can always fabricate your own "correct" rings. This is what was done back in the days with the old Pro-80 and pro-60 prior to Wet Sounds manufacturing their own. Shops designed and made their own, as well as customers DIY's their own.

Wet Sounds changed the cans a few months ago, and that affected all the light rings they had out there.  I wonder if this would be the case?  They changed LED strips to a thicker one and that screwed up the clearances.

I've got a few older sets of Rev10 rings, maybe some rev8's
