2003 Wakesetter 23 XTI Questions

I started winterizing my 2003 23 XTI today and I am stumped as to the best way to replace the oil filter.  The boat has the consolidated engine cover/storage compartment and the filter sits at the rear corner of the port side.  It is slightly under the floorboard and can anyone give me a suggestion as to the best way to remove and replace the filter.  I imagine it is going to leave some residual oil in the bilge.

I have the same model & year, just remove the port side panel and place a small disposable weber BBQ aluminum tray under the filter and it will catch any of the drippings. Super clean and no mess.
