2013 VLX advice

Recommended Posts

First off I've used this forum heaps to help out with the 05 Rlxi we previously had, great source of info and everyone has been real helpful.

sold the Rlxi and have picked up a 2013 VLX on a wake hull. Won't get to take it out on the water till next weekend so the suspense is killing me.

few questions: travel cover, it didn't come with one and we will need one ASAP. I'm in Australia and am looking to import a sunbrella one through "coverworld" is anyone running one of these? Are they good? Any pics, other suggestions? Pros/cons etc.

next is ski wake, yes I know it's a wake boat but on the rare occasion I like to go and have a bit of a warm up swerve. Just a bit of a play, not hitting a course or anything. Obviously drop as much weight as possible but a while ago I'm sure people were saying half filling the bow tank helped. Also what rope length is best. Obviously I can play and tweak it myself but any advice to save r&d time would be greatly appreciated.

No info on cover world, but I would see if Bake's could work with you.   They had 30% off covers for Black Friday, but that deal is probably expired now.   Evo always is a favorite around here, but ASAP usually isn't good with him as he has backlog normally.

I have a Evolution cover that came off my 13 VLX that I would sell you.  It's in great condition and gray in color.  I paid about 1k for it a year ago and would let you have it for 500 plus shipping.  PM me if you are interested.

We ski my 2012 VLX on a diamond hill and it does ok. It's no slalom tug but we get our ski fix behind it. I run a full bow tank to keep the nose down and tail up and run 31-32mph.
