Winterization Question Regarding Flow When Removing Drain Plugs

When I removed the plug on the starboard side antifreeze started to drain out but not at a very fast flow rate.  I then went to the port side and removed that drain plug.  The port side had very high flow.  Does this seem normal?  I was wondering if maybe the starboard side would have flowed more after the port side was open.  Any help would be appreciated.  I'm wondering if there could be some sort of blockage on the starboard side or if the other plug could have potentially needed to be opened to help it "breathe" and flow faster.  Thanks!

Sometimes it helps to poke a small screwdriver into the drain hole and clean out the junk blocking the flow.

^^^^ I do this while the water is flowing out to help force the debris out.  I also blow air into the raw water hose with a shop vac after gravity did its job and get another 1/2 gallon of water out of the engine.
