2017 25 lsv Hydro steering

Working on finalizing our order of a 2017 25 LSV and Hydraulic Steering has now shown up as an option.  Anyone have any info on this?  

I didn't feel like the steering in the 2016 was bad, so is this $1,333.00 option really worth it?

Its been an option for years, just no one orders it.  it will make your boat steer easier with surfgate deployed.  if it didnt bother you before, save the $1300 bones for gas!

My Mastercraft X45 had hydraulic steering.  It was scary when I jumped from that to my malibu and forgot that when you let go of the steering in most boats, it swerves wildly.  I liked that I could use my hands for other things and the MC continued straight.  Not sure I liked it $1300 worth, but I did like having that a lot.  And IIUC, there is no steering cable to have to change out in a few years.

For me, I am fairly sure I would do it if spending money on a new boat.
