1991 Flightcraft added to our fleet

Earlier this month we added a nice, sleek, fast, low wake 1991 Malibu Flightcraft to our fleet. The Flighty has a 200 HP Mercury Optimax, BI tower and BI super fly high. We were in the market for a Flighty as the wake is one of the best Barefoot slalom wakes ever. We can now choose between our 2004 Response LXI with Hammerhead 380, our Flighty or one of the other Malibu boats in our barefoot crew.

Cool boat.  I'm new here and had never heard of it.

Flighty's were original made in Australia and made in USA around late 80s or early 90s. The were inboard and outboard versions. The outboard was the boat of choice for barefooters.

Nice boat.  They are pretty rare, although there always seem to be 1 or 2 for sale in my area.  For instance:  http://nanaimo.craigslist.ca/boa/5802055972.html

Nice, although most barefooters prefer the Flighty Outboard.... and they're indeed becoming rare....

The Mastercraft outboard of comperable vintage and similar fuel injected Merc was an awesome barefooter even with out a tower, love that friends boat and the room it had compared to the direct drives of the day was amazing , and the wake, there was nothing comperable, I think the original design of these boats was for ski jumping, then someone's bell rung in their head and it was born!!
