Good question. So I went & looked...... 249 hrs & 167k miles. Hmmmm, so I Googled it & come to find out there is a known issue about the hour meter resetting on a lot of the GM trucks.

I've seen 238x hrs on mine some time ago. Not sure if adding 249 to that is accurate or not. Or how comparable it is to an engine's hours used in a boat. Will be interesting to see the lab results from the boat's oil & if iron content is high on it too.

It's been a few years, but with the home remodel behind me I am back to focusing on wrenching on pretty much everything now.  I had the oil analysis done again.  I am thinking that the dilution and thin viscosity is related to the fouled plug problems that I was having, I know now that I should change the oil next time.  Another potential contributor was that I used the first oil out of the plug, instead of letting it flow for a quart or so.

I would agree on your analysis, probably dumped a bit of fuel in the oil.

The more important detail, it was 70 degrees today and little wind, you are looking at oil analysis data which means the boat is whimpering about being on the trailer and not on the water

I'm a bit of a disgrace, I'll admit.  The boat has been put away for about a month now.  Too much stuff happening - boys varsity soccer season and I am friends with several guys that have boys on the team, daughter's travel soccer league, cars to wrench on, Jeep trail rides this weekend, etc. etc.  That said, my footing season starts May 1 with our ski team and is 3x per week all year thru August, so I get my reps in for sure.
