I believe mine is 90amp.  I think most people, rather than swapping to a larger alternator, add a battery or 2, a switch of some kind to ensure you still have enough juice to start the boat, and an onboard charging system.

YEAH I HAVE 3 BATTERIES NOW MY STEREO IS A POWER ADDICT WHEN BATTS GET LOW @ LOWER RPM THEY CANT REPLENISH SO BASICALLY IF YOU ARE TIED OFF AND NEED TO RECHARGE BATTS WITH MY SYSTEM ON @8-1000 RPM CHARGES UNDER 12V THOUGHT ABOUT ADDING A FEW MORE DEDICATED BATTS  BUT A 130 AMP ALT WOULD PROBABLY MALE IT HAPPY AS WELL THANKS FOR RESPONDING DENNY

If you Get less than 12 volts at 1000 rpm with the sereo off you have a problem somewhere - wiring or alternator.  If it's your stereo dragging it down at 1000 rpm you need to get more efficient amps, turn it down, or get an APU

Not all ARC Audio amps are class D. Some of their most expensive are A/B.

You need more storage, or more current in, or less current out. Maybe if you post exactly what you have (batteries, chargers, amps, speakers - with model numbers) then someone will have a good idea.
