Dual Heater Install + Shower Questions

with dual heaters i assume my dealer will install the circulation pump. which from what i understand will circulate the same hot water for the shower "hopefully"

i wonder if anyone has tried something higher than 3-4gpm for the shower to get more pressure?

I have the factory shower and factory heater.  The heater runs off of the closed cooling circulation and is nice and hot.  The shower runs off of the raw water and I have not been happy with the temperature of the water.  I run it on full hot, and it just doesn't get very hot, especially as the water temps have been dropping.  The dealer looked at it, and said they can't find a place to tap into the raw water system that will produce any warmer water.  They looked at it with an IR thermometer and talked to the factory as well.  Would love to hear updates from someone with a 2016 with really hot water, so I can see how they plumbed their system.

wait you mean the heater is running antifreeze through it? or the water that cools the antifreeze portion?

yes.  Antifreeze through heater.  The water that cools the antifreeze is what comes out your shower, and that is not the same temp as your 160 degree engine, thus the not so hot shower.  At least that is what I was told.

Well this may be a waste of 700-800.. how not hot is it? Like Luke warm ? Or like pointless to have warm? Obviously it's this time if year when it's needed most.

Can anyone else confirm this issue?

Do u have a circulation pump for heater or not?

Hulk, running antifreeze through your heater is preferable to raw water in all aspects.  Fresh water cooled (i.e. close cooled / antifreeze) boats tend to warm up a little faster, and because the antifreeze is in a closed loop it stays a little warmer.  Heaters on closed-cooled boats also seem to do much better at idle than raw water cooled boats (the antifreeze in the block stays warmed, vs circulating constantly cooled raw water from the lake).  It also has the obvious (and substantial) advantage of not requiring you to winterize your heater.

Downside in your proposed application is the shower... nobody with a closed-cooled engine ever seems to be happy with their shower performance.  The raw water coming out of the shower is only warmed by the heat exchanger before shooting out of the shower, vs a raw water cooled boat where the shower water has been circulated through the block and gets a bit warmer.
