2013 MXZ 20 Surfgate Spray fix?

SJ

Recommended Posts

I recently picked up a 13 MXZ 20 and the port side (regular) wave is dirty from the gate cross spray.  It's very ridable and i don't think the spray affects the readability, it's more psychological if anything.  I read there was a fix for this, but haven't seen many examples or where to buy the spray gate fix.  Does the 'fix' really work to clean up the face?  Anyone have a link to buy or experience with before and after the fix install?

Edit: Found this pic in an old thread.  I'm looking for the little piece that says MXZ and wonder how the performance is.

I have the parts for my 2014 22 MXZ, but I have not installed them yet.  Planning to do it over the winter layup.  I got them from my dealer's service department.

Ask your service manager at your local dealership.

Mine got the parts from Malibu for $0 to me.

By the way, mine look dimensionally like the picture above, but mine do not have the "MXZ" engraved(?) on them, their just polished stainless steel.

Called the local dealer and they were super helpful!  Said they are a warrantee item and they'll drop ship them to me and email some instructions if possible.  Nice!

Here are the 3 pages of screenshots that I used.  These are not very straight forward, but you basically want the deflectors to be as close to the boat as possible without scraping it when the gate opens and closes.

Do you have the link to the part?

Ask your local dealer. I’m not sure at this point. Haven’t seen the part online for a few years.
