Touch command resetting at engine start

I have a problem on my 2012 VLX that is driving me nuts. I use the touch command screen to enter my passcode to start my engine. But every time it starts the screen cycles/resets. So, it means I need to enter my code again to STOP the engine. Super annoying. I'm going to switch back to the key for now but curious if anyone has any ideas.

My 2012 VTX did that a few times the last time we went out. It has done it before rarely, but is becoming more common.  Although most of the time, the Engine Stop is still there without entering the code even though it asks for the code. But a few times it did require the code to shut it off. Quite disconcerting when that happens.

Both batteries have strong charges on them.  And it fires up really strong/quickly.  It seems like the starting just draws so much that it pulls enough power away to reset the MTC.

After playing around with this, it turns out that the problem only occurs when I am using a single battery for starting.  When I set the switch to 1+2  it is all fine.

My 2012 did the same thing, drove me nuts. Over time it got progressively worse. Turns out it was the power button on the dash that was bad. Once that was replaced, no more problems!!!!!
