Ballast Vent leaked in boat

We have a 2005 Wakesetter VLX our center factory ballast leaked out the vent that is mounted by the observer seat under the glove box. Any ideas to what causes this? The gage on the dash said the ballast tank was 1/2 full.

Thank you for any thoughts or help!

A few thoughts:

Is your gauge broken?  You should be able to see the tank through the center hatch and know if it is actually full or not.

I assume that you mean it leaked from the vented loop that is under there.  It is a U shaped plastic fitting?  It may simply need to have the hoses to it retightened. It is called an Anti siphon fitting.

Yes it is the Anti siphon fitting. The water was coming out of the top of it.

The gage could very well be broken. I will take a look at the tank next time out. We are new to the whole ballast system. Wasn't even sure where the center one was. Thx for your help!
