Wedge status switch

I believe I did something to the switch cleaning in that area and it cut me , that's about When it started getting the false red light, then eventually the flash alarm when we cruised.

It seems as though the lever goes up and the switch makes s click when lever pushed by finger up.  Wedge seems to push up to the point of activating switch but I can't hear click of switch cause wedge mech is loud at that point

so how  to proceed , turn off multi battery switch ? Hoping for reset.

unplug and inspect hex head wiring coupling at hull thru hole for wiring harness?

What are the logical in order diagnosis steps? Before I buy a replacement switch

I think there are screws so you can adjust (move switch up or down)?

When mine did that I bent the arm that contacts the wedge a little bit.

Did the bending down trick, but I didn't check the dash cause I was listening for that click I couldn't hear moving the wedge! Will try that again and check dash
