Rudder trim tab set screw size??

Does  anyone know the size the standard trim tab set screw?  We just bought a 2013 Malibu 22 MXZ and the set screw is missing.  I've tried calling Malibu dealers but they tell me they can't order just the set screw but IDK what size it is and what metal it is...      probably stainless steel.  Any help is appreciated! Thx

Cal Andrew or Paul at Bakesonline.  They will most likely be able to tell you.  If they can not, let me know and I will try to find out by taking mine out. Might take a little time but I will definitely get you the info. In the mean time try Bakes.

Thanks... called them right now and Paul is going to call Malibu to find out the size or mail me some.  He has them but doesn't know the size. Thanks a lot this has been an ordeal to figure out.  :-)

The rudder is MH and is almost 150.00 higher from them than what Bakes is selling them for. Any local fastener place will have the set screw you need at a fraction of the cost and you won't have to wait to get it! For those having to replace a rudder, 2010 was the transition year to the weighted tiller arm to prevent the rudder flutter experienced in older models. The "V DRIVE-2" rudder is the same rudder for the 09 and 10, the 09 just has the unweighted SS tiller arm.

Look at a local fastener place like Fastenal or Grainger if they are around. Even in my podunk TN town we have a pretty BA fastener shop. If you can only get them in 1/2 just cut them down with a hack saw and chase the threads with a file.
