After growing up with my dad's 2002 sunsetter lxi, finally bought one of my own. Its a 98 sunsetter VLX with 580 hours on it. Pretty good shape, and runs out great! Only issue I have is the previous owner took all the decals off... Haven't had much luck googling for new ones so I emailed malibu and see what they say. Anyone have any suggestions were I can get OEM or close to it decals? I think I'm too new to post photos yet or I would.

Cheers.

Congrats!

Check ebay and great lakes skipper.  They sometimes have decals of that vintage.  I bought some for my old boat from ebay.

Pics or it didn't happen. Anyone can post pics, just link to a photo hosting site like photobucket, flickr, etc.

Domed numbers for decals. Naked boats are OK too!

The originals probably don't have the stick needed any more.  May need to look at a custom made "new" design.

Domed numbers for me.  Nothing wrong with being naked, or nearly naked.

I think she looks great naked.  Nice tow rig too.   Now it is time for upgrades so we get to spend all your money.

These forums are deadly... That's why my 4runner looks the way it does. I spend a lot of time on the toyota 4runner forum and get all the cool ideas for things to buy. But I love all the upgrades I've done and look forward to doing the same to this boat!

Here is an update from the work I've done on it since I bought it. Gave her a full tune up, buff, domed decals, new interior, and just waiting on the hydroturf to show up next week to put the floor in. Pretty crazy how well the 3m marine compound and polish took off the oxidation. Still have a bit to go yet, but here are some before and after pics.

Of course the platform needed some love too. A little sanding and a few coats of linseed oil did the trick.

Bought them from domednumbers.com, they are slightly smaller than the factory but pretty close. I was hesitant at first because of the price, but they are great quality and well worth it. They give you a discount if you mention this site too.

I have the same boat, carpet is getting pretty matted. Did you order that flooring precut or cutting to size? Thanks for any info.
